Arnis Freibergs
DR. ARNIS FREIBERG, originally from Latvia, came to Canada after World War II. He certified in Plastic Surgery in 1967 and became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1985. Dr. Freiberg’s keen interest in hand surgery led him to positions as President of MANUS Canada and the American Association for Hand Surgery.
As a teacher of several generations of plastic surgeons, Dr. Freiberg has been described as the “teacher’s teacher”, setting the bar for plastic surgical education for a great number of plastic surgeons who have gone on in their own careers to continue his outstanding example of academic teaching generosity
