Modris Zulps
Volleyball & Table Tennis; born in Latvia, came to canada in 1950. In 1967 we won Central Canada Open tournament, he represented canada 1965 in xx, in 1967 in sweden, in 1969 Germany, in 1971 in Japan. In 1979 he won the Torornto City championship in Class B, and the Ontario Province tournament. In volleyball he played for Hamilton YMCA who were the Canadian volleyball champion in 1960, 1961,1962, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1969, 1970. He was also a key player for Hamilton DV Sparta who played in the Canadian Baltic league. He played for the Canadian team in the Chicago PanAm games of 1959 and in the Sao Paulo PanAm games of 1963. In 1980 he didn't slow down but was the "novus" champion of Hamilton and Toronto.
